  • The benefit of dance is not only that of increased exercise, but the participation in an art form, which is routed in technique, and giving the opportunity for a creative outlet.
  • Dance can keep the both the body and the brain active, vital for people of every age.

These days, people love to watch other people dance. Competitive dance shows like “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing With the Stars” are dominating the world of reality television. What you may not realize, however, is that if you get off the couch and dance yourself, it’s a great way to keep your body and mind healthy. Studies show that dancing can help you lose weight, stay flexible, reduce stress, make friends, and more of the following:

  • Fun
  • Boost memory
  • Improve flexibility
  • Reduce stress
  • Diminish depression
  • Help your heart
  • Lose weight
  • Balance better
  • Increase energy

Wear something you feel comfortable in and that includes shoes. When you attend class we can check which shoes are best for you to dance in. We have a shop on the premises with some great reductions on adult dance shoes.

From the age of four I have had a passionate love for Irish dancing. Knowing as far back as then that I was going to make teaching my career in the future I continued to dance my way through life and enjoyed every minute of it. I danced with the great Erin O’ Dalaigh and competed in many major events All Irelands, World Championships, festivals and shows. I successfully passed the T.C.R.G examination in 1988, which joined with my Childcare qualifications made a great combination to starting up and teaching the tens of thousands of children and adults to date. I work extremely hard as a full time teacher, teaching in areas such as Crèche’s, Schools, Special needs, foreign students, Adults private step dance classes and workshops throughout the World. I am delighted with the excellent standards achieved in my career to date. World Champion,European Champions,Irish National,Great Britain,North American Champion and many many Leinster Champions. Also our excellent teams of Ceile Champions. I am ecstatic with my achievement in taking the 2013 World Championship title under 18 ladies and also the placing of our excellent Ceili teams. I like to run a school of excellence and perfection which proves well in areas such as shows, festivals and especially competition. I love passing on my love of music and dance to others. This is my path in life and what I was born to do. I believe with the right teacher every child can dance. I believe all children should be treated the same no matter what their ability.
